Meet Suzanne Snowdowne! Co-founder, CEO & Creative Director at Cape Island. She is a proudly South African entrepreneur, wife, and mother of three wonderful boys aged 10, 12, and 14. 

Suzanne is a natural-born creator who thrives on dreaming up and developing new ideas, concepts, and products for our home fragrance brand. Passionate about women’s growth and empowerment, she heads up a team of talented women and devoted mothers working to create a legacy. 

Suzanne in a nutshell

She is kind and compassionate, a big dreamer, and a lover of life. She prides herself in having established an all-women business with a strong culture of investing in employees.

Outside of work, Suzanne is energised by enjoying time at the beach, adventuring on family road trips, or jamming to Matthew Mole.

Biggest challenge?

"The great challenge of being a mother in business is the fear of missing out and not being fully present in both roles," says Suzanne.

"For Suzanne, motherhood is an experience like no other. Life with her three boys is an adventure and deeply fulfilling. 

Any Advice for mothers in business?

Mothers can definitely thrive in their careers as well as at home. The trick is to find balance and let go of "working-mom guilt".
